SAN ANTONIO - After a huge win against the Thunder and a heartbreaking loss to the Hawks, fans have to wonder if the Spurs will ever find the consistency and mental toughness they’ll need to win some very hard games down the home stretch before the NBA post season. Will the Spurs win enough games to remain a playoff team?

One thing is for sure: Manu Ginobili is doing everything imaginable to drag this squad into contention. In fact, his performance has to be boosting his free agent value. Will the Spurs be able to keep him around?

Another big issue facing Coach Gregg Popovich: How will he handle the return of Tony Parker? Will he come off the bench?

Your humble host Humberto Cervera guides panelists Eric Johnson and CyberBob through these thorny issues. The guys also drop a few thoughts about their NCAA brackets as we head into sweet 16 weekend.

I thought it was only me that heard names mis-pronounced! Glad I'm not the only one! Dang... And CyberBob thought I hated Humbie (which I dont, I was just making an observation and being a tiny bit critical)? Check out BexarBoy, dang!! LOL

Ok I’ll bite on this article…As we can all see during the games…Manu is leading this team. This summer is going to be big for the NBA. New york will be going for LBJ , Chicago is wanting Wade. Bosh wants to have some control of building up a team around him…and so on. Big names will be out there and money talks. I wouldn’t hold nothing against him if he decide to leave for another chance at a title. I believe he has a 3 year contract going his way…and nothing bigger. Imagine him coming off the bench for LBJ, Kobe, Wade…playing along side with Bosh. The big names will go first and he will be the finishing touch…like the guy from Atlanta..hehe. ( also in the market this summer ) We’ll just have to wait for when he'll signs his john hancock.

Haha, no personal animosity on my part, I have never met the humble Humbie… but I completely agree with everything Bexar Boy has stated… in fact I had just spoken about the fantasy football foul ups the other day with my buddies… along with the ESPN Fiasco…Since we are talking about espn article and what not. I have seen alot of SI.com also from woai. On kens 5....its just a reporter writing his own article. Cyber Bob just admit it, Humbie needs to amp up his game…

CyberBob..Ok so your bias obviously because your a colleague of Humbies, sure that's understandable! Its not what Humbie did to make me upset, it's what he DOESN'T know what to do, is what the problem is. So not last year, but the year before that he attempted to do a "Fantasy Football Show" where he predicts and does player projections for fantasy stats. Ok sure- great idea right? Yes it is, just one problem..Humbie totally tanked it when he got matchupS incorrect. Example: He would say "I think Tomlinson should have 100 yards and 2 td's because the lions defense is weak against the run. Ok yea true- ONE PROBLEM HUMBIE...The chargers were playing the rams that weekend. Next he would say, "This should be an all passing game the Cardinals vs. Patriots- yeah that would be Humbie..ONE PROBLEM...The Cardinals would be playing the Bills that weekend. Last Mr. CyberBob, I did not know that "Leon" Branch played for the seahawks, I thought it was Deon Branch. Bottom line- Humbie Butchers his stats, predictions, and names. Now lets not go into the ESPN Fiasco. I don't think I am the only one that watches ESPN or reads thier own guys posts and articles. What a miracle that all "opinions" by Humbie on the NBA, I hadn't already or read by Tim Legler of ESPN. CyberBob- Buddy I am not alone- when I state that Humbie just has no clue of what he is doing here. I do believe he would make a great anchor for a valley newstation such as Brownsville, McAllen etc. Hope this helps BOBBY!

Wow! Another Humbie-hater! Well, I can tell you that I work with Humbie every day. He knows his sports. Maybe Bexar Boy is bringing some personal animosity to the comments section. Tell us the story. What did Humbie do to make you so upset? Let it go Bexar Boy. We're all here to help.

Bexar Boy - 3/23/2010 9:15 PM
Listen up!!! I don't care what you guys say. Humbie is a complete bozo when it comes to sports knowledge. He has no clue what he is talking about and always feeds off of ESPN comments and stories to "report" his stories. Humbie is constantly mispronouncing athletes names wrong, especially during football season. one year he "tried" to do the fantasy show, and completely messed that up. For this reason, and only reason I do not watch WOAI Sports, aside from Don "Hypocrite" Harris and David "Bandwagon" Mika Chancellor. Aside from that, Dumbie Humbie has no idea whats going on. I do not know who was the person that gave this man a job there. Any I know first hand, they passed on much better talent!! I know its just a matter of minutes before this post is removed as always, but Dumbie Humbie must go!! Humbie you are more than welcome to discuss this with me whenever you want! Why do you do these dumb segmants with two men that noone has ever heard of!!- Humbie go back to HEB!

The Spurs have to make a run at him - but if somebody offers above market value (and somebody will), the Spurs will let him go. They won't overpay.

I don't hate Humbie CyberBob... It's the guys that are in this roundtable discussion. I watched the one when they talked about trading for Stoudemire and it was terrible. Almost like they pulled some random guys off the street for that one. Manu is playing great right now and it's a real treat to watch him play. I have a feeling he will be a Rocket next year though. How much will the Spurs throw at him you think???

paadre - 3/23/2010 5:20 PM
Manu is speaking out during time outs , during fouls and running the show...he also gotten R.jefferson attention. As for parker, there is nothing wrong with coming off the bench for a bit. It's not like he is going to be 100 perecent or have the same tune as the other. Alright humbie not bad at all this time. keep it up.

CyberBob - 3/23/2010 4:29 PM
Here's my question - why does pdunk hate Humbie? What's going on here? You should watch the roundtable just because Eric refused to talk about Roman Grecco.
