SAN ANTONIO – The first topic on the death match this week was the Cowboys: Does McGee have potential at quarterback? Has the injury bug crippled the offense? How did they look in the Hall of Fame Game? Then the conversation turns to the pros and cons of fantasy football. The second round this week is dominated by Darrelle Revis. Should NFL players be allowed to holdout for better deals – or is a contract a contract? Finally, Jeff Van Gundy said the Heat can surpass the 72-win record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. Is he insane? Click to watch…

The participants…

  • Kyle Boenitz (Non-confrontational Host)
  • Walter Pasacrita (Ticket 760 Morning Drive, weekdays 7-9 am)
  • Dillon Emery (Too busy for fantasy)
  • Bryan Foster (Future WEC belt contender)
  • Tyler Garcia (Why does he go by Tyler when his name is Anthony?)

Why all the hating on McGee? The guy had a 3rd string O-line in there and put up some numbers. Just because he's an Aggie don't hate on him all you horn t-shirt fans. Romo is a talent for sure but I hate the way he goofs off. McGee will have his day somewhere down the line just like Romo did. You know I kinda miss Humbie too. Who is going to predict L.T. to have 3 touchdowns on a bye week now???? Come back Humbie! I thought Dillon was a wuss when he said no to fantasy football at first but I understand with the kiddos. Jeff Van Gundy predicted 73 wins for the Heat? Get out of town with your Ron Jeremy look-alike brother. What a joke! Instead of popcorn for the prize, how bout the SHAKE WEIGHT for next weeks prize? It promotes a healthy lifestyle and strong fore-arms too!

Owners routinely release players to avoid paying them and they release them FROM a CONTRACT to avoid paying a roster bonus. If management doesn't abide by the contract, why should the players?

I can see starting negotiations during the last year of a contract. but people holding out because you don't like your contract is wrong. Don't blame the owner/team blame yourself and your agent. If you want to hold out real simple you don't get paid you forfeit and have to pay back any up front money you received and also lose any guaranteed money. I don't see owners coming back and saying you know what player x turned out to be a bust let's redo that fat contract we signed him to because he's not worth it. Quit whining and honor your contract stupid.

I can't watch the video, but this seems like a pretty stupid question. A contract is a contract. If you don't have to abide by it, what value does it have? That's why people get sued for "breach of contract"... duh...
