I hope WOAI will continue to provide daily updates on the dogs at Brooks - often these dogs are not listed on the ACS website and this FB page is the only way the public will see their impounded dogs and reclaim, and for others to adopt, foster or rescue. As more of the public sees these dogs, more of them can be saved - thank you.

Thank You WOAI for highlighting these dogs at Brooks, who otherwise would not receive the much needed exposure! You are truly helping the community towards the No Kill goal that many of us are fighting for SA to achieve. Even though this might seem like a very small step, it is a step nonetheless and one can never underestimate the power of networking and exposure. Thank you so much for doing this! Please keep it up! It will give these dogs a fighting chance! Otherwise these beautiful, sweet dogs are just there waiting to be euthanized. Thank again WOAI!

Thank you for highlighting the needs of healthy, adoptable furbabies at Brooks AFB !!! These innocent dogs and cats are literally hidden from public view, receive very little attention and are murdered by ACS within 3 days of intake, if not less. WOAI, please continue to include a daily 'photo gallery' of animals available for adoption or foster. Their lives depend on it !!! Citizens, low cost / free spay and neuter clinics are available throughout the city. Contact the Mayor and City Council members to remind them that they are Representatives of WE THE PEOPLE. Vote against those who are not committed to improving conditions at San Antonio ACS and working toward 'NO KILL'. The program is successful in large cities across the USA, including Austin. If you are unable to adopt or foster, volunteers are always needed. The kindness and attention you share with these innocent victims of society is a comfort and helps many avoid becoming 'shelter crazy' and that much more adoptable ;) Man's best friend deserves much more than abuse, neglect and subsequent death in a cold room surounded by strangers.

Why can't ACS rotate the dogs/cats around their different facilites in town? Extend the hold period, so someone in a different part of town might see & want them. That way all the animals stand a chance of getting adopted. I presented this idea to the illustrious Mayor Hardberger & never even got a response. I don't see ACS cruising the streets anymore picking up strays, so this would be a good use of the trucks & a benefit to the animals.

Kudos to you, WOAI, for giving these dogs exposure so they can find homes! Many of the Brooks dogs never have a chance at being saved because of the facility's location & the underpromotion of the dogs there. Even if this saves just one more dog, it will be worth it. Thank you again...I hope you will continue to do this in the future!

Thank you for sharing the Brooks dogs with your viewers!! These poor dogs go unseen for their mandatory hold period at an offsite location and then are put down. The more exposure they can get the better their chances at having someone foster or adopt them!! Thank you for helping the Brooks Dogs!!

Thank you so much for sharing this album!! Brooks dogs are the best and need heroes desperately. Brooks is a remote facility for ACS and many of the dogs go unseen and unheard. Without exposure they stand very low odds of survival. Thank you for highlighting them!!! Your efforts will surely help to save a life!!
