SAN ANTONIO -- A group puppies who were found inside a dumpster are now ready to be adopted.

The puppies were rescued in early November when they were less than two weeks old and were malnourished and covered in fleas and ticks.

Over the course of the past six weeks, the puppies were placed with foster families and nursed back to health. The puppies were brought back to San Antonio Humane Society Thursday for a checkup and will be available for adoption just in time for Christmas.

If you'd like to adopt one of the dumpster puppies, they will be available beginning at noon on Friday, December 21st.
