Dogs bound for Chicago need temporary pet parents

If you are interested in adopting or fostering me, it is critical that you visit me at the shelter or email or call (210) 207-6666 to have staff place a hold on me prior to May 02, 2012 as I may be euthanized the following morning. (ACS)

SAN ANTONIO -- Animal Care Services is teaming up with Tracy’s Dogs, an area rescue organization, to send a group of local dogs to the Windy City of Chicago.

More than a dozen dogs and puppies are slated for the transport to Chicago in three weeks. But the canines are in desperate need of foster homes to get acclimated before their big move to the midwest.

Fostering is a short term care situation that allows pets in need to get one-on-one attention, which is especially important for shelter dogs that may have been homeless or abandoned.

If you'd like to help, email TracysDogs at tracy@tracysdogs.com.
