SAN ANTONIO -- Animal Care Services is hosting a special Super Bowl-themed event this Sunday.

The Tail-Gate 2013 adoption party will feature $25 dog and puppy adoptions as well as $10 cat or kitten adoptions in honor of Super Bowl XLVII. All ACS pets are sterilized, vaccinated, micro-chipped and licensed and the shelter is open for adoptions seven days a week at 4710 State Highway 151 off Old Highway 90.

Local shelters and rescue groups have helped ACS has set another incredible lifesaving record with an anticipated overall live release rate of 83 percent for the month of January 2013. That's compared to a rate of 65 percent in January of 2012.

When: Sunday, February 3rd from noon to 4:00 p.m.
