Stephen Clapper began his career as a photojournalist in Texas, moved away for two years, and now finds himself back in the Lone Star State once again.

As a graduate of Lamar University, Stephen began working at KBTV 4 in Beaumont, Texas. During his time at KBTV, Stephen covered many stories and events from Hurricane Ike in 2008 to Houston Texans football. After 2 years, he moved to Greensboro, North Carolina to pursue a photojournalist position at WGHP FOX 8 where he really came into his own as a photographer, covering a wide range of stories and even winning a second place AP award for a story featuring homeless camps in the woods of Greensboro.

After two great years in North Carolina, Stephen finds himself back home in Texas where he is thrilled to be a part of the WOAI team.
