Francisco was born in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to San Antonio in 1990. He began his career in TV in 2001 at KABB as a production assistant. Two years later, he was asked by the executive producer to join their news team as a photojournalist. Intimidated, but eager to use his creative talents, Francisco found a new passion in his life. After gaining invaluable experience, Francisco brought his talents to WOAI.
Here he has covered visits from President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama. He has also been sent to the front lines of some of the state's biggest stories, covering the Fort Hood shootings, the BP oil spill, Hurricanes Dolly, Gustav and Ike with Randy Beamer and most recently the west Texas Wildfires. Francisco has also enjoyed capturing Spurs championship celebrations and Fiesta events. He is an AP award winning photojournalist, who enjoys teamwork to tell people's stories.
