1st of all johnny cash, i have no kids, and yes the gym had grafetti b4, but it comes down and does not come right back up. villa coronado, father manuel roman park, has been much improved, the kids use the basketball court at night, and people are on the new walking trail. since you worked for the city for 20 years, maybe if p/rec had maintained the park the tennis court would not be in the condition it is now, a nice park attracts more people, that are interested in walking, playing tennis, and basketball. there is a neighbh assoc here and we are trying hard to improve the community as well as the park, and get people involved. so, unless you live here and want to get involved....enjoy your retirement.

Both of you are wrong. I worked for the Parks & Rec Department for 20 years. Im retired now. Villa Coranado is a park frequented by gang memebers. The graffiti is covered and back up again that night. The restrooms and other property are vandalized weekly. It has nothing to do with what side of town you're on unless you're talking about respect for others and the property around you. Its probably her kids that are destroying the place. The city gets the work orders and fixes what ever needs to be addressed. Teach your children to respect and give back to the community instead of saying nothings being done. What is she and the rest of that neighborhood doing to take care of their park?????

Kellie15 you are 100% correct. What is really pathetic that your and mine city council person from all other districts go along with throwing money at the northside in hopes if ingratiating themselves and in hopes that the northside will accept them and throw them a bone when they can no longer hold office. To hell with the people they lied to and voted them in office in the first place. All of them from all districts mine included, district 3. VENDIDOS TODOS

This is a sad story because it depends where you live on what gets done. I have been trying to get a park in my area but to no avail. However Phil Hardberger hugs a tree and he gets extra money for his park. We have been there too bad all parks can't look like that.
