Here's the latest road closures information on the
Alamo RMA Highway 281 and Loop 1604 Interchange Construction Project.
Highway 281 Closures
US 281 Southbound frontage road from Sonterra to Donella will be closed February 15 at 10 PM and reopen February 18 at 5 AM. One lane will be open and vary during this time, expect delay if traveling this area. Lanes will reopen as soon as work is completed. This closures includes the Donella exit from US 281. This work is to allow crews to remove and place asphalt in this area.
CANCELED: US 281 Northbound mainlanes from Thousand Oaks to Loop 1604 will be closed from 10 PM Friday, February 15, 2013 until 5 AM Monday, February 18, 2013. This closure will also require the US 281 North to Loop 1604 West and Loop 1604 East direct connectors to be closed while crews work in this area. All traffic will be detoured to the frontage road during this time. This work is necessary to allow crews to remove and place asphalt surface in this area. Crews do plan to have at least one lane and the US 281 North to Loop 1604 West and Loop 1604 East direct connectors open Saturday afternoon. Expect delays if traveling in this area. Alternative routes are encouraged.
Loop 1604 Closures
Loop 1604 Westbound mainlanes at Bitters Road will be closed from 6 AM to 10 AM and 3 PM to 4 PM on February 16, 2013. This closure is necessary to allow crews to reset concrete beams in this area.
Loop 1604 Westbound entrance from Blanco will be closed from 7 AM to 12 PM on February 16, 2013. This closure is necessary to allow crews to fix concrete barrier.
Loop 1604 Eastbound mainlanes at Bitters Road will be closed from 6 AM to 10 AM and 3 PM to 4 PM on February 17, 2013. This closure is necessary to allow crews to reset concrete beams in this area.
