INGLEWOOD, CA -- A driver throwing gang signs out of a car window takes police on a wild ride and it's all caught on tape. It happened Sunday night in Inglewood, California as a half-dozen police cruisers chased the driver through city streets.
Police say the driver was only a boy, but they are not releasing his age. The chase lasted for more than an hour, as the driver blew through traffic lights, drove in wrong lanes and nearly missed hitting other drivers and pedestrians. One homeowner even got a front row seat to the chase, as he watched the chase live on television and then saw the chase go right past his home.
The driver was caught after police used spike strips to stop the car, which they believe was stolen. He now faces charges of car theft and assault with a deadly weapon.
