Monday, January 21, people wishing to attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. March can ride VIA's mainline bus service.
Bus service to the march will be offered from the Alamodome, St. Philip's College, and the Freeman Coliseum. Buses will take passengers to the march between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and buses will bring them back from 12:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. The drop-off point for service to the march will be on MLK Drive between Upland and Hein Road. The pick-up location for return service will be at Pittman Sullivan Park.
The fare for the service is $1.10 one way (total of $2.20 roundtrip) with a discount fare of 55 cents one way ($1.10 total) available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students.
