U.S. Senate debate in Dallas much less confrontational

Republican tea party favorite Ted Cruz agreed almost as much as he differed with Democrat Paul Sadler on Friday. Both are competing in Nov. 6 election to succeed retiring U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
A key point of contention was Cruz's vow to not raise taxes on any Texan. Sadler said he wasn't afraid to examine raising taxes and that "shared sacrifice" was the only way to pay down the debt.
But things also stayed remarkably calm and relaxed.It was a far cry from the Oct. 2 debate when Sadler called Cruz a "troll."

ANYONE but Cruz - Get someone off of death row - I will vote for him before Cruz!! I got over 50 phone calls from him before the primary.

Ted Cruz is not a Mexican, he is of cuban heritage born in Canada. Mr Cruz's views are not hispanic and in many ways not even Texan. Texans are in general respectful,hardworking,religous and honest, all the attributes Mr Cruz did not show during the Repulican primaries and his most recent embrace of the Tea Party mantra.

Anyone who isn't entirely deluded (i.e. not a liberal) knows full well that any new taxes just means more money for the Govt to use to buy votes. Tax, borrow, spend & grow government is all Democrats know to do. And Rockefeller Republicans are not much better.

This Sadler man is a racist who is against Ted Cruz for being a Mexican. Why else would he be so cruel and call names? God will punish him by turning him into a pinata and he will have to go to birthday parties and let little Mexican children hit him with a stick. God hates racists and he burns tham up in Hell. A jalapeno stuck in his rear end may well help him to see things differently. It is hard to say.
