SAN ANTONIO -- If your child has an unresolved truancy case, Bexar County is now giving you two weeks to make arrangements to appear in court.

Justice of the Peace Rogelio Lopez Jr. announced a new initiative today to resolve truancy cases in his Precinct 4 court. If parents and students do not show up to court for their truancy case or make arrangements before November 12, then officers will pick them up in a truancy roundup effort. Those who get picked up could face a $500 fine.

"The word does need to get out that it is not acceptable to skip court," said Judge Lopez.

The roundup will include picking up both parents and students in the San Antonio and Judson Independent School Districts. The roundup could last up to two weeks. If you need to make arrangements for truancy court, you can call Precinct 4 at (210) 335-4900

Hopefully that judge will round up the students @ Roosevelt High School. They are the worse in the city of SA. And its a good idea that the parents will also pay a fine no if or maybe they should pay a fine. They are responsiable for their children.
