SAN ANTONIO -- All right parents, how much do you know about the codes your kids might use for sexting?

Any idea what GYPO stands for? How about GNRN?

News 4 WOAI's Delaine Mathieu found out there's a whole world beyond OMG and LOL, especially when it comes to sexting. There are codes that a lot of kids don't want their parents to know but that experts say parents need to know.

Fdny1983 - umm, all she said was "wow.." so calm down And god I'd hate to be related to you. You think sexting is the issue? Yeh my 4 year old is pregnant but at least she didn't have an iPhone to sext with! Thanks for the teenage generalization. How about actually parenting instead of finding an excuse to cheap out on a phone?

LadyFingers- you're so right! I remember I was in trouble for sending a carnation to my 8th grade crush for Valentine's Day in 7th grade after my dad told me I couldn't have money to do that. I think that instead of learning what these codes mean, parents need to be parents and not OMGBFF's to their kids, exercise some parental control, and get their kids Disney phones in which they can only call certain numbers. Kids these days are entirely way too privileged, and what's worse is they EXPECT it. I'll be d_mned if my kids ever come up to me asking for an iphone. Nope- your behind is getting a Nokia, to stay in contact with your parents and have a way to call 911 if need be and that is IT. Hate me for it now, but you'll thank me later.

at that age, we didn't have cell phones. our parents could take our phones away from us...mom went searching for handwritten letters in our rooms.

It doesn't take a genius to figure those codes out, I figured them both out in about three seconds each max.
