Teacher charged with improper relationship with student

SAN ANTONIO -- A teacher at Edison High School has been charged with having an improper relationship with a student. Police say he's Juan Carlos Ramos, who was arrested late today by district police.

Ramos has worked for the district since 2008, but has since resigned. He's accused of a relationship with an 18-year-old female student.

SAISD told News 4 this is a very serious allegation and they want parents to know that the safety and well-being of students is paramount. News 4 will provide more details as soon as they are available.

nope, just can't stand LIEberal exaggerations. maybe she got special treatment because she was INVOLVED with him or maybe this was the only way she could graduate. We will never know because LIEberal news outlets will never seek the truth. Once again 18 IS NOT A CHILD, DUDE

If "safety and well-being" of its students is the "paramount concern" of the SAISD as stated in the article, one has to then ask....WHY hasn't the entire board from Ego mainiac Ed right on down the line been replaced? That would really do some good for the students.

Under the Education Code in Texas Law, it is illegal to have an intimate relationship with a student, no matter what the age is....

There comes another un-employed person! Hope the student also gets in trouble. Shes not a child or under age.
