SAN ANTONIO – If you were a foster child, or know someone who was, UTSA wants your help.

The Child and Adolescent Policy Research Institute is trying to get as many former foster kids as possible to fill out an online survey, available here.

Workers want to know how many people who went through the foster program now have permanent housing, and if their housing situations made it possible to get a good education.

"We are hoping that we can make recommendations to the current system that will allow the students to have the ability to have housing – to be able to afford housing near campus,” Courtney Barrie with UTSA says.

The survey is targeted toward adults, ages 18 and up.
