Texas Penal Code Sec. 22.07. TERRORISTIC THREAT. (a) A person commits an offense if he threatens to commit any offense involving violence to any person or property with intent to: (2) place any person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury; This child threaten to hurt this student with a hammer and brought the hammer to school. By Texas state law - that is a terroristic threat. Enough said.

If you want to say that terrorism a crime where a person is made to feel "terrified" than can't almost any crime be called "terrorism" using that definition?

There is more than one definition of terrorism. The most common would be a group using violence for political purposes, but there are others. He clearly terrorized this little girl by threatening to kill her with a hammer because she is African American, especially when he has the hammer in his backpack.

From the FBI website: "Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85)."

I'm not saying it wasn't a crime, but I don't know how it meets the definition of terrorism. If we keep throwing these buzz words around, they will soon lose all meaning.

That boy needs to be sent to a juvenile delinquent school. He has maliciously attempted to commit a MURDER in this school and this is NOT something we should take lightly. He purposely took a weapon, hammer, to school to KILL THE BLACK GIRL because in his demented mind he doesnt think "Black people should be allowed on this Earth". Now tell me how this poor innocent girl is supposed to feel knowing that her "Killer" is still allowed in school with her?? Something needs to be done with that boy!! Also....Where are the boys parents?? Why havent they come out and apologized to the family? Do they condone this type of behavior in their home? What a shame! I say we all need to rally together and spread the word out on this injustice to this 6th grade girl!! Come on Community! We dont want to have a murder in our very own schools, do we? Sign the petition from the previous message!! Spread the word!!

Why isn't this boy being transferred to another school? I understand that he served his suspension, but that doesn't remove the threat. NEISD - see TEC 25.034 also Board Policy FDB LEGAL. The boy made a threat...that is "bullying". What if the parents got a restraining order against the student? These school boards need some shaking up so we can get people in there that remember who they represent.

We aren't getting "carried away" here. The young man packed the hammer in his backpack with the intent to assault his classmate. Once at school he told other students "he was going to kill the young lady at lunch because black people don't deserve to be on this earth". Fortunately the students that he disclosed this information to informed someone on the school staff of his intentions. When school officials checked his bag they found the hammer. If those students had not notified school officials, this incident could have ended horrifically. When this student is let back into school, this young lady will have to walk the halls in fear wondering if he will plan to attack her again. What child deserves that? How would you feel if this was your child, sister, brother, mother or any relative of yours? Below is a link of the complete story and petition written by the sister of the young lady the threat was made against. http://www.change.org/petitions/lopez-middle-school-expulsion-of-the-child-and-district-to-come-up-with-better-guidelines?utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=url_share&utm_campaign=url_share_before_sign
