LYTLE, Texas -- Several homes were damaged and several people were hurt after what may have been a tornado swept through the area north of Lytle in Western Bexar County.

People living there say they only had a few seconds to take cover before the storm ravaged their home. News 4 WOAI's crew saw several badly damaged homes and twisted metal and debris all over yards along Ted Williams Road.

The Camacho family lost their home. Many of their belongings were in boxes because they were building a new home. The roof was ripped off their home, and three people inside that home were hurt.

The home was supposed to be a fresh start after they lost their previous one to foreclosure.

LYTLE, Texas -- A church in Lytle was badly damaged when a storm cell moved through the area.

The Country Baptist Church at FM 463 and FM 471 South was hit by what a game warden said was high winds or a tornado. Witnesses, including a News 4 WOAI photojournalist at the scene said windows at the church were blown out and the roof was gone.

The weather also created a traffic headache for drivers along Interstate 35 and Loop 1604 near Lytle Monday night after an 18-wheeler flipped onto the median. Investigators say wind may have knocked over the truck. The driver wasn't hurt, but traffic was backed up for miles.
