Comedian Stephen Colbert knows a great presidential ticket when he sees one. This time, it's all about Texas Governor Rick Perry and God.

Rick Perry, Stephen Colbert wants you to run for president.

The field of GOP presidential hopefuls includes more than a dozen announced candidates — right and even more right — but one wily Republican has yet to join the fray. The host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report said that of all the potential candidates, he is most intrigued by the thus-far-noncommittal Texas governor.

“I completely agree,” Colbert said Tuesday night. “This man needs to be president. We haven’t had a Texas governor in the White House for almost three years.”

The comedian also talked about Perry’s Aug. 6 prayer rally in Houston, his latest “call” language and the governor’s 2010 (Wile E.) coyote confrontation.

Oh yes Miss High And Mighty down there says we who "speak negatively" of Perry or Bush are the Devil's People! Okay Dodie yeah whatever so I guess Bush is a total saint and has been abstained of his gravest sins, you know the start an illegal war and allow more than 3,500 innocent people who defend your every right to spill your ignorance on a daily basis be murdered? Oh yeah that is Holy of Him and I should bow down to him.. Bwahahaha not in this life time or any other for that matter! Plus you support a man who is willing to break away from the USA and kill the future of education for our children by underpaying teachers and having crappy ones produced because this State doesn't pay those who teach our teachers enough as well. Thus we get the sick perverts in our schools because that system is broke since our Great Governor is too greedy to pocket the money that could make this state a great place for all. Yeah Dodie that is the pinnacle of great Christian Leadership!! BTW Laurel Ridge Called they were looking for their favorite Resident NUT!

Why are we surprised that some folks on this forum just don't have a sense of humor....I don't agree with Stephen Colbert very often, but this time I think he's spot on!

This person will suffer horrible pain and misery in a lake of fire for his sacrilege of mocking our Lord and Savior and for making fun of such a divinely Christian man as our Governor Perry. There are no such better Christians in public life than Governor Perry and President Bush. Only the devil's people would speak negatively of either of them.

And so it begins...the real truth and as far as Perry will get in this National Contest! Like I said all he will ever be is Sarah Palin Reloaded, Version 2.0 or whatever you all want to call it. Thanks for the laugh Mr. Colbert but there's plenty more for your team to use and make all you have to do is really look at his terms carefully!
