SAN ANTONIO -- Since 2007, more than 95,000 registered sex offenders have been removed from social websites like Facebook. Because of such high numbers, a local state representative wants to make sure you know who is asking to be your friend on social websites.
Democrat Trey Martinez-Fischer has pre-filled a bill for the upcoming legislative session that would require convicted sex offenders in Texas to make sure their crime is prominently displayed in their Facebook profiles. The profile would need to have the offender's address and details of their crime.CLICK HERE
