SAN ANTONIO-It's happened to just about all of us...some more than others. You get pulled over by a police officer or trooper for speeding and you're left with a big ticket to pay. We'll there's a new company in San Antonio that says they'll take care of it.

Well this is not an insurance company, but Speederz...with a "z" at the end, says it's a speeding ticket financial protection service. If you get a speeding ticket and you are a member of Speederz, the company will pay your fine for you.

Nnow having said that, the company says it is not a green light for drivers to speed and they do not condone speeding. But if you get pulled over for what it calls an unexpected and unintentional speeding violation, members just submit their ticket on the Speederz website and it will be processed and paid. The company says it takes care of speeding tickets in all 50 states and now has close to 600 members who just are looking for a more efficient way of taking care of their mistakes.

Speederz Founder Fred Bruni says it just makes the whole process smoother. "Not only guarantee the payment of the speeding ticket, but guaranteeing that the member's community will get that municipal income, the courts will be less congested, law enforcement won't be out chasing needless warrants."

Monthly memberships run 35 dollars and annual memberships a little over 400 dollars. But that annual membership adds the feature of paying any insurance premiums hikes you may see because of that speeding ticket.

Now keep in mind this is strictly for speeding tickets, not any other moving violations. So far, checking out this company, we haven't seen any problems. If you would like to check them out, they have an interesting website address...it's www.youspeedwepay.com . We have a link on our website woai-dot-com and click on "get-it."

@SA Native... What's wrong with Selma? I live in Selma and the police here are WAY more responsive then SA police. And is you had READ the article, you would see that the pay the ticket for you and they even cover the insurance hike as a result of the ticket....... Not that I would ever use it because I don't speed. Try speeding through Selma and see what happens....

This services seems pretty lame to me... I have to question the sensibility of anybody that looks at traffic laws designed to protect the safety and well being of everybody that uses public roadways as "pathetic revenue generators".

Wild idea: don't speed and you won't get a speeding ticket. You don't get there any faster by speeding, but you may end up in a rectangular box under the ground. I have to give it to Speederz, great way to take money from fools!

I just drive the speed limit and don't worry about it. Must work. 40 years of driving and not a single speeding ticket.

"member's community will get that municipal income, the courts will be less congested," "Municipal income"? It's all about revenue generation. Absolutely pathetic. Absolutely disgusting that these things happen in the United States of America.
