GALVESTON, Texas -- 'Shark Boy' has struck again.

Ten-year-old Hunter Stevens and his dad caught a big stingray off the coast of Galveston. The father-son team eventually reeled the ray in, and Hunter even gave it a kiss goodbye.

The two are no strangers to reeling in big fish. Last month, they pulled in a 5-foot black tip shark from the same Kayak. Last August, they pulled in a 7-foot shark.

Stingrays aren't deadly. They have a barb on their tail that they use for protection. Steve Irwin all but laid down on one and the barb stabbed him in the chest. Had he not removed the bard and bled to death, he might have survived.....big might, tho. Not long after that, an elderly gentleman had almost the same "accident", but survived. There have been a couple of incidents of the giant rays (Manta or Eagle) breaching and landing on a small boat and crushing a passenger, but those weren't purposeful attacks. These are such interesting animals and are in no way inherently dangerous.

What fun they'er having! Nice story. I have to say that sooner or later this isen't going to end well. They need a real boat if they are going fishing in the ocean.
