SAN ANTONIO -- Around the holidays, you might be feeling the pinch in your wallet. Luckily, there's good news.
San Antonio's economy is the strongest it has been in four years, according to The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Today, they released their Economic Trends Report for this year's third quarter. The Chamber says the growth is due to the city's expanding healthcare industry and the military.
"With that diversification and the quality of it, the personal income prospects of the marketplace go up," says Travis Tullos, an economist with The Chamber.
Tullos says residents are also on board with long-term projects, such as the South Texas Medical Center, which rivals those of other major Texas cities like Houston.
