SAN ANTONIO -- Around the holidays, you might be feeling the pinch in your wallet. Luckily, there's good news.

San Antonio's economy is the strongest it has been in four years, according to The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Today, they released their Economic Trends Report for this year's third quarter. The Chamber says the growth is due to the city's expanding healthcare industry and the military.

"With that diversification and the quality of it, the personal income prospects of the marketplace go up," says Travis Tullos, an economist with The Chamber.

Tullos says residents are also on board with long-term projects, such as the South Texas Medical Center, which rivals those of other major Texas cities like Houston.

Gargoyle & 5PMCharlie, I really don't see any whining on here, but I certainly do see a whole lot of crowing!!!! Real Texans don't have to take our losses blindly, with our tails tucked between our legs. We've every right to complain and lament and fight for honesty in the next election, and against the corruption of the last one, and the shortcomings of the current administration.

Had the report showed the economy here was the worst it had been in the last 4 years, the wingnuts would have been quick to blame it on Obama...

""" due to the city's expanding healthcare industry and the military. """" ---> TWO areas where the OBUMMER administration and his communist followers want to DESTROY, too. Oh wait, San Antonio Agree's with that because they voted for him too.

Thank you, President Obama! You are more responsible for this than anything--including Eagle fracking!

Thanks in no small part to the Eagle Ford Shale oil/gas boom. It sure isn't because of anything the Democrats running the city have done, other than that they have been acting for the most part like Republicans.
