SAN ANTONIO - "1-6-31-43-44-53" - Little did ten San Antonio co-workers know those numbers were gold.
Their office pool won a cool $22 million in the Texas Lottery on Wednesday.
So who are these people and what do they plan to do with all that money?
For now, the ten winners still want to remain anonymous. But we did find out that they work at CommuniCare Health Centers on the east side. And, amazingly, they did something most of us wouldn't dream of doing after winning the lottery. They showed up to work today!
Marisol Cortez, CommuniCare Health Centers Spokesperson, did tell us the ten winners plan to keep working with CommuniCare even after they cash their big checks. They are a dedicated team that has direct contact with patients and leaving just isn't an option.
“They do work together. And it's pretty much one team,” Cortez explained. “And a lot of employees have been here from 10-14 years. And so they're very dedicated and loyal to CommuniCare."
The winners have met with an attorney to set up a trust for their winnings. They plan to meet with the lottery commission in the next few days.
