SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Water System and the city have finally decided on how much of a rate hike you will see on your bill this year.
SAWS had initially proposed an 11.3 percent system-wide increase kick in this year. But the city said that was too much and suggested the water system drop the hike to 8.4 percent.
Wednesday afternoon, SAWS decided it will keep the rate hike at 7 percent, not 7.7% as we incorrectly reported previously.
You should expect to see the increase on your bill beginning in March.
