SAN ANTONIO --  The San Antonio Fire Department's Arson Bureau is currently investigating six suspicious fires that have occurred on the East Side over the last two months. At this time, investigators don't believe all of the fires are related, even though they occurred in close proximity.

"It could happen here, it could happen to anyone of our neighbors, " said Ester Jimenez, who lives in the area.

Jimenez lives several houses down from one of the fires that started Tuesday evening on the 200 block of Cooper street. She says she shares her home with her 88-year-old mother.

"It's unnerving, needless to say, I can't sleep very well, " said Carmen Borrego, Jimenez's sister.

No arrests have been made in the cases and the public is urged to keep an eye out for suspicious behavior. San Antonio police say they are working closely with the San Antonio Fire Department. SAPD adds they have a strong presence of San Antonio Fear Free Environment or SAFFE and gang officers in the neighborhood.

Anyone with any information on the fires is urged to call the City's Arson Hotline at (210) 227 - FIRE.
