SAN ANTONIO -- A rosary will be held tonight for firefighter Matthew Thomas Whitley, 31, who died last Friday when his Devine home caught fire. Whitley was a 10 year veteran of the San Antonio Fire Department and was off-duty at the time of the blaze. Investigators think a space heater may have sparked the flames.
The rosary will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Devine. There will also be a funeral mass tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, also located in Devine. No date has been set for his burial.
