Roads closed due to high water

Sandy I have to agree with you completely. Of course the media and authorities think that people who make their living driving on the roads are just too stupid to understand the raw data that says a low-water crossing has three inches of water flowing and are going to hazard their life, their load, or their passengers. What the authorities and media are unable to figure out is that you whisper one half inch and rising and the paid drivers will avoid that crossing like a plague and figure some other way around. The media seems to forget that the paid drivers know what water will do to their brakes, and how little it takes to cause hydroplaning (and loss of control)

same thing with 1518 one mile north of I-10. of course they don't let you know that at the junction of 10 and 1518, you have to drive down there then figure out how to get turned around, not an easy feat in a 60 ft tractor trailer loaded with 9000 gallons of gas on a 2 lane road

Who do you let know that a road closure is not on the list or not under anything anyone knows. Wurzbach Parkway was closed where it becomes Starcrest/Bitters but there is nothing down about Wurzbach Parkway. Also if that is closed why don't they close the on ramps for westbound traffic on the parkway?
