I haven't heard of this being a friends/family operation, feel there are to many jobs out in the Eagle Ford Shale area to be filled by just friends and family but I have been trying to get a job in the oilfield industry on the internet but it is very confusing and keep getting sent from one website to another with no success, I'm looking for an entry level position so I can work my way up to my potential a company looking for good hard working people.... SraSanAnto do you have any good info on how to get my foot in the door and I can do the rest any assistance would be very grateful, can you give a hint when and where, looking forward to your next comment, check out the comment posted on Texas evaluating urine test for unemployment and welfare assistance.

@SraSanAnto, it's really a shame that you don't know what you're talking about. True, friends and relatives do sometimes get hired on recommendation, but that's to fill the need that's there, if the applicant is qualified. That doesn't preclude or override other qualified applicants. I'd like to know where you get your "information" or "impression". There are those that can't qualify and refuse to admit it and blame their denial on other reasons, and who will know otherwise?!?!?!? There are also those that like sitting at home collecting unemployment and having a LoneStar Card and not sweating and will claim to have applied when they didn't and say they've been denied, and the friend/family excuse is one of the most used excuses. And, there's another field soon to be opened that will make the Eagle Ford Shale look small. Wait for it................

Great for all the friends and relatives..that seems to be oil companies policy "To hire only friends and relatives of those already employed"
