SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a South Side store, and they need your help to track him down.
The man is wanted for a robbery of the Dollar General at 1507 Pleasanton Road. The robbery happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012. A store employee told police the man grabbed several packages of batteries from a display case near the register and then ran out of the store without paying for them.
The employee told officers he ran outside after the man and demanded he stop. The employee said the man stopped and then turned around and pulled up his shirt in an apparent attempt to show a weapon. The employee told police the man reached for the weapon, but it had fallen down his pants, and he had to bend over and reach down to his ankle and pull it from beneath his pant leg. The employee said when he saw the weapon, he backed off and ran back into the store and called police.
Witnesses told police they saw the man run north on Pleasanton Road and go behind a car wash. He then got into a small white car with dark tinted windows and drove north on Pleasanton Road
