Prison guards wanted: Eagle Ford Shale boom blamed for shortage

I stop working there in January and the whole time I worked there capt. Lue. Sgt. Would intimidate you into working over time so they wouldn't have to do it...They say we are family and brothers but yet you come in on your days off and they treat you like crap I would tell anyone that's sees this say as far away as possible... They want officers to stay they need to open there pockets and compete with the oil field... 1900 after taxes a month or 1900 after taxes a week the choose is obvious

If you are smart dont go work there. I used to work there and it was getting bad before I left in December. They are always short staff but its not the Eagle Ford Shale's fault, it caould be partly the Administration or the supervisors that are there. Im just saying what I think. It does pay descent but not as much as the oilfiled. The HR office is full of great women that help you out in anyway possible and the other departments there have their perks with some downfalls. Overall I would say its got a couple of great people but stay away from A-Commissary they always have an excuse to be close or the two oversized women in there are rude!

It's a maximum security prison and most inmates there don't give a crud and can seriously hurt or kill a guard 'cause they have nothing to lose. With the p!$$ poor salaries and constant threat, I don't blame these guards for leaving to a better paying job.
