@ stillstunned: Laugh youself to the silly house, because that's where you belong!!! I'm probably old enough to be your grandparent, and with the wisdom and knowledge that comes with the years. One of your biggest faults is that you don't actually read & comprehend my posts (whether this article or the several others), and you don't care. You react immediately according to your liberal leanings and mind controlled "learnings". Oh, and you can keep the old & senile comments and jokes to yourself. I'm NOT THAT old, but even if I were, it wouldn't change the facts. You are the unwavering, blind, educated but dumb, CHILD having a temper tantrum 24/7!!!!! So, tell me, just how hard you work for your money? Do you really want Obama to "spread the wealth" using your hard earned money? Have you ever stood in line behind somebody using a Lone Star card for their groceries, then seen them in the parking lot loading them into a big, fancy, super expensive 4 door pickup dualie, impeccably clean, and them in their nice clothes? Have any problems with that scenario? Now, if it was a struggling family loading their groceries into a broken down OLD vehicle, I can have empathy & sympathy. Tell me, stillstunned, where are your priorities and leanings? Give us all an idea of who you are!!! Don't laugh at me until you explain and prove yourself!!!! For the record, I do have a relatively decent IQ (3rd in my graduating class from HS), but an EXTREMELY HIGH common sense level, have been around the block, have lived in the country (from ranching family & heritage) & the concrete jungle (think NYC area), and traveled extensively throughout the caribbean (scuba diver with hundreds of hours underwater). I'm NOT some stupid country bumpkin that you can verbally abuse without consequences!!! In spite of our communications, I'm not looking to pick a fight with you. I just want you to wake up and grow up!!! You'll be a much better person when you do.

@ April65: How dare you call us rural living folks uneducated!!! I'm not even going to argue the Perry pro/con issue with you. I just want you to understand that just because you live in the concrete jungle you aren't smarter and more highly educated than those of us that live out here in the "boonies"!!! I voted for Perry because I didn't want an Obama clone in the state capitol!!! It's a shame when you have to pick the lesser of the two evils, and I will vote for Perry over Obama in a presidential election. Skew me if you want. I'm entitled to my EDUCATED opinions.

The only people opposed to Christian prayer are the devil's people. Once they have to endure the punishment that the Lord will make them suffer for eternity, they will regret ever having passed on any prayer.

as usual some stupid liberal comes on and professes the idiotic idea that separation of church and state is in the constitution, even though he put it aside for now.

mr. perry, you need to pray and ask the lord to help you for what YOU and the republican party are going to do to TEXAS education. Taking teacher's rights away, lowering pay, and increasing class size is pure EVIL. PEOPLE OF TEXAS republicans, democrats, independents, not funding education for our children is just plain wrong and cutting teacher jobs or reducing teacher pay will have a direct impact on the texas economy. like it or not, teachers are major consumers in our economy. NOT KNOWING IF THEY WILL GET A PAY CUT OR LOSE THEIR JOB, they will CUT BACK on buying and start putting money away. so much for getting texans back to work. please pray mr. perry, and make the right decision.
