SAN ANTONIO - If you're a parent of a child in activities or a member of a volunteer group, then you know about the need for fundraising! From BBQ dinners to car washes and popcorn sales -- there are countless ways to try to make money.
Now, there is a new option! Goodwill is kicking off a new program called "Partners for Good." It's a simple formula: host a donation drive in your neighborhood and in return, your group could get a big payoff.
So forget the cookie dough and chocolate sales, and get in on the new wave of fundraising: donation drives! Non-profits, community groups, sports teams and the like partner with Goodwill in hosting a collection drive and in return could earn up to $1,000!
The first "Partners for Good" donation drive benefiting the Mulepushers’ Booster Club is Saturday, February 2nd from 8:30am -3pm at Alamo Heights High School (6900 Broadway). They are hoping to collect a truckload of gently used household items, including home décor, dishware, old electronics and computers.
