SAN ANTONIO -- Kids love the holidays. So how about giving your youngster a chance to create holiday arts and crafts and play games in a safe, fun environment?
The Parks and Recreation Department’s Thanksgiving Holiday Camps are a great option for parents looking for a quality program for their children during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday week.
The camps, for kids from ages 6 to 14, will be offered at 15 Parks and Recreation Community Centers. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $3 per participant per day. In addition to the activities, lunch and a snack are included and will be provided by the San Antonio Food Bank to all participants attending the camp.
“These holiday camps will provide some great recreational and educational activities for children while also providing them a safe, structured environment where they can enjoy their time away from school,” said Brenda Burton, Assistant Recreation Manager.
The Thanksgiving Holiday Camps will run Monday, Nov. 19, through Wednesday, Nov. 21. Centers are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23.
