SAN ANTONIO - Hydraulic fracturing or fracking has been a big economic boom to South Texas, but not without some controversy. Some say it's causing earthquakes. Reports have shown it increases car accidents south of here. But this may be the most controversial yet... should companies be allowed to drill under cemeteries?

It's already happening at some Texas cemeteries, and a company is looking to do the same thing in Ohio now.

Some opponents obviously say cemeteries should be hallowed grounds.

The fracking companies and those leasing the rights say because of the way fracturing works, the rigs don't necessarily have to be installed right next to the tombstones. And the drilling happens so far underground it won't disturb any graves.

There are some places that should remain sacred. One of those is a cemetary. Out of respect for the dead as well as family members, this should not be allowed. Why are they under cemetaries anyway? There are other areas. Greed knows no bounds.

It would be much more efficient just to toss the dead bodies into a power plant incinerator.

Cemeteries, no. White House, yes.

It's a sin to disturb a dead body, especially if it's that of a Christian because they will rise up when Jesus comes for them. If they have been blown up, there will be nothing left to rise when the trumpet blows. We already have too many bad things going on in the graveyards as it is. Trasy people do immoral and obscene things in the graveyard, and too many witches, wiccans, and grave robbers dig up graves as it is, so that they can steal whatever they want out of them.

Well if its not a big deal and doesn't do any damage or harm, then just what exactly is the effect or reason for earthquakes? I reckon thats just a little rattle above ground in your opinion?

The bodies, or what's left of them, don't care what's going on under them. They are just a shell. As long as it doesn't affect the caskets, and therefore having sink holes, I don't think it will hurt anything. You probably wouldn't even notice it if they didn't tell you about it.
