SAN ANTONIO -- More than 4,000 people are stranded on board the Carnival Cruise ship, Triumph, in the Gulf of Mexico. The ship caught fire yesterday in the engine room, damaging the propulsion and causing the ship to be stranded.
The Triumph was sailing about 150 miles off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula when it became stranded. It sailed out of Galveston and was supposed to be back today. The ship will now have to be towed back to shore.
DISCUSS: Has this ever happened to you or do you have family members on board the Triumph?
