SAN ANTONIO - It will soon be a lot easier to learn which financial companies have the most consumer complaints.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has launched a website detailing bank complaints.  You can also learn how the company responded to complaints and how long it took them to respond.

Right now, only complaints filed since June first will be displayed as the bureau works to expand its database.  Eventually, complaints about mortgages and checking accounts will be added.

I like it. I also check the BBB when I have to buy something online from a company I've never heard of. Banks are worse though, they should know better but some like Wachovia and many others have paid millions in fines for bad practices and are still operating like they are so wonderful. I use the Credit Unions and even then, you always to to be aware of the fine print fees, although they are less than banks.
