Volunteer firefighters in Somerset are about to get a fire station in the coming months.
Today was a special day for them as they broke ground on a new 8,000 square foot fire station.
It will be big enough to house all of their equipment. More space will mean volunteer firefighters won't need to respond from their home.
Emergency Services District 5 is paying for the station. The land was donated by the Kurz family.
The building process will be underway in the next few weeks.
