SAN ANTONIO -- If you use VIA to get around town, you'll soon be shelling out a little more for your next ride. VIA's new fares will go into effect this Friday. They were approved last month. The fares will now be as follows:
Regular bus – $1.20
Regular bus half fare – 60 cents
VIAtrans – $1.95
Monthly Big Pass – $35.00
Monthly Big Pass half fare – $17.50
All other fares – including express service, transfers, Day Passes, Semester Passes, and the Off Peak Special – will remain unchanged.
