SAN ANTONIO -- Tuesday, October 2nd is National Taco Day, and Taco Cabana is going to give away free tacos to celebrate.
The restaurant chain plans to flame-grill more than 30,000 chicken breasts to create more than 60,000 chicken fajita tacos for the event, which will take place from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
"We can't think of a better way to celebrate a favorite Mexican item than to give them to our guests for free," said Todd Coerver, interim chief operating officer at Taco Cabana. "Our chicken fajita tacos are made with flame-grilled, all-white chicken breast and fresh-made flour tortillas. Last year we gave out 60,000 tacos for National Taco Day, and this year we're planning for an even bigger turnout."
Each guest attending the event will get one free chicken fajita taco at participating Taco Cabana locations, while supplies last, no purchase necessary. Guests will also receive a "Two Can Dine for $9.99" coupon for a later visit.
