SAN ANTONIO -- An explosion of strong winds lead to an explosion of fires in the San Antonio area Monday. Bexar County officials confirm that three people were killed in a fire on Pearsall Road near Loop 1604 in Southwest Bexar County.
News 4 was told that 31-year-old Roxanne Cortez Ordonez and her twin boys, Daniel and Orlene Ordonez. died in a house fire on the 8000 block of Pearsall Road. The fire started Monday afternoon and soon spread to at least four neighboring homes due to intense winds.
A windstorm produced gusts over 55 mph and ripped roofs off buildings, uprooted trees and knocked out power to thousands of CPS Energy customers.
