Would you go bare to send a message? A group of military wives are baring their bodies and having pledges written on them to raise awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The idea came when Kentucky military wife, Ashley Wise, tried to seek help for her husband at Fort Campbell. After not receiving the help she needed, she formed "Battling Bare".

"I felt like streaking the general's lawn, because then maybe a naked woman would get attention and they wouldn't sweep me underneath the rug," Wise said. "I decided to instead do a photo campaign and it's what I call a God moment -- pledge, picture and ten minutes later it was on Facebook."

As she started the campaign, Wise realized she wasn't alone. Other military wives were also trying to find help for their husbands who were suffering in silence. Alicia McCoy was one such wife. Her husband, Sergeant Brandon McCoy, committed suicide in March.

"Our soliders have a lot to say," McCoy said. "They have a lot bottled up inside of them and no one is listening. I feel like they are afraid to be able to say what they need to say, because it will hurt their record."

Every photo taken is then posted on the group's website and Facebook page.

So to bring notice they strip off their clothes, yea sounds like lonely housewives syndrome , if I were a married man I would be very worried about my wife going nude . Ya think.

For those of you who would like to know more about PTSD, go to www.mybacktothewall.com, The book "I Always Sit With My Back To Wall" is very informative and easy to read. It should be mandatory issue for all leaders in the military, though PTSD does not affect only those who served.

I am uber conservative, and I think this is a great idea. PTSD is real. GOD BLess these women for staying with their husbands and supporting them. It is so easy to get a divorce and move on, but these women are taking their vows before GOD seriously. For better or worse. Many Prayers for the military and families. <3

Good Gosh, I love naked women. They're the best thing ever! And on a serious note, these wives are the sort of wife I would dream of if any girl may ever want me as a husband: supportive, loving, organized & NAKED!

For the people who have negative comments, Until you have walked in our shoes, you may never know the true suffering. I recently lost my husband. He suffered from PTSD. The VA has many hoops to jump through to receive the available help. Some soldiers give up. Some soldiers may find themselves up against the wall. It is a shame that a "bake sale" is not going to raise the money needed to benefit a solution for PTSD. It is a larger shame that nudity will raise the funds. I agree with the format. Sex sells. It always has and always will. I hope this organization continues to raise more money...If I can join the group, I will. I would do it without blinking an eye....

Raven Days: There are no words that I could say that would take the pain away. I am sorry for the loss of your husband. You and all military families have my greatest respect and admiration for your service to the rest of us. My son came home from Afgahnistan alive and I am thankful for that. We can spend all of our tax dollars on all kinds of other worthless causes, but we can't take care of the people that are willing to give their lives so that we can have our freedom? Where the H3LL are our priorities? Thank You Raven Days.

I just want to say to all those that have a negitive comment, one there is nothing "nasty" about what they are doing!!! They keep everything lean, nothing more than what you would freaking see at a beach or pool. And here is though instead of calling them old hussies if you can not see the good in this then you just might be a part of the problem not them. I am a combat vet and thanks to my wife for taking her stand, I have been treated and helped to the point that I am able to rechannel the anger from PTSD! I am so thankful for wives that stand by their husbands in the time they need it most. Only one word to say to them...HOORAH!!!!

Yeah...the VA is here to help Vetarans alright...they helped my husband to die. They handed him Methadone. He was the type who would over medicate and had been medically retired due to PTSD. He got his Rx filled on Monday and was dead by Tuesday. He was 36 and had served 16 years in the Army and on several deployments....and ey mang...no we do not contribute to our husband PTSD. The military ignores it for the most part. They sweep it under the rug and pretend it doesnt exsist. I have said from the beginning that the man who came back from Iraq wasnt the one who went over. My husband...never came home.
