Microsoft is changing their business model for a profitable tool...Microsoft Office.

Consumers can now purchase Microsoft Office as a paid subscription for $100 dollars a year. It's called "Office 365 Home Premium" and allows installation on up to five computers in a household, including Macs and Windows tablets. The subscription also includes frequent software updates.

Windows users can still buy the traditional version of office 2013 this week, with a price tag of $140 dollars.
