OMG2012 I found this quote form Julian Castro “Joaquín and I got into Stanford because of affirmative action,” Julián says. “I scored 1,210 on my SATs, which was lower than the median matriculating student. But I did fine in college and in law school. So did Joaquín. I’m a strong supporter of affirmative action because I’ve seen it work in my own life.”

Dear Mr.Mayor of San Antonio de Bejar, after listening to your keynote speech I have to tell you I found your quote,"My mother fought hard for civil rights so that instead of a mop I could hold this microphone" quite offensive. You see my husband, who works in the tourist industry, is very proud to hold on to a mop for a living instead of a microphone. Yes, he cleans for a living and does a great job making sure the facilities are always germ/bacteria-free, spotless, and shiny. A political office does not hold his interest, but he does vote. Making such a comparative comment on national television was demeaning to all the thousands of maids and custodians who are, in actuality, VIP's in San Antonio's most formidable industry, tourism. When a burger and fries cost more than what these "moppers" get paid in an hour of their lives is just shameful. Who's next to get stepped on by inflated political egos, cooks, nurses, waitstaff? I know there is a one-eighth of a cent tax increase up for election soon and also a city-employee pay raise. It would be wonderful to think our vote-seeking, high-ranking officials could hold all the "moppers" in our great San Antonio with the same pay-raising, extremely high regard. I hope you read this sir, and thank you if you do.

Good to see that i'm not the only that believes he is in the closet. i have never been wrong. "delivere" Really, he is done as mayor for aligning himself with the failed policies of Obama, Castro is looking for the next gig and he thinks Obama is going to give it to him. Castro is the reason why affirmative action failed because it gave you a free pass for being a Mexican't.

This poor youth has sold his soul to the Devil in return for power on Earth. He will rue the day he first accepted the blandishments of the Dark Lord. Life is short and it's sort of like a test. If you pass the test and accept Jesus, you get to go to Heaven with God and Jesus for eternity. If not, you get to caucus with the Devil's people in Hell for eternity. For me, it's an easy choice. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Is the mayor of San Antonio embarrassed about something? I've seen him referred to as Hispanic, and I'm sure he wasn't born on the isle of Hispaniola, and as Latino, and I don't think he speaks Latin. I thought Latin was considered a dead language. He's not of Roman or Italian heritage' is he? Does he have a problem with being called Mexican? I'm sure his mother doesn't. She was very emphatic about that.
