SAN ANTONIO-A man walking on the train tracks east of downtown is hit and killed by a train.
We're told the conductor spotted the 40 year old man walking on the tracks just after midnight.
He sounded the whistle and applied the emergency brake but couldn't stop in time.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
We're told Pine street and several intersections in the area were closed for hours.
