Yea you're probably right, the states that are going down the tubes now have nothing to do with their citizens voting record.

San Antonio is already host to one of the best medical device companies in the U.S. The corporate headquarters as well as manuafacturing plants are in SAT, not to mention several other buildings in NW SAT. KCI, has been doing very well, even though they like to play it safe in these hard times and still cut back to ensure they make it with flying colors. I'm sure seeing how well they do in San Antonio can entice another company to move here too.

San Antonio and Austin have the strongest economies in our STATE. And neither is very Conservative when it comes down to it. So, what now? I doubt the company is coming here due to our voting records. Perhaps the fantastic Medical Center? UTSA's bio lab? Not everything is politically reared.

Huh, didn't know San Antonio was a state. Point is all states mentioned have a history of implementing unsustainable programs, catering to unions, & being unfriendly to business and they are paying the price for it now.

The article is a bit off. It's mentioning divisions of Medtronic that have nothing to do with the division that is actually showing up in SAT. The diabetes division of Medtronic that is being talked about is not leaving California, they are expanding because they ran out of real estate space at the current california location. Lower taxes, etc made SAT appealing. It's only parts of 2 sectors of the overall division that are going to reside in SAT, and most jobs will be staffed from SAT talent.

But San Antonio went to Obama last year, so there goes that theory.

Hey ottteacher, ever wonder why companies are leaving liberal left wing states ie. calf. min. mich. and coming to moderate conservative states? Hmm... wonder why that is?

Damn Dumbama and his ever-growing unemp--oh, wait. Nevermind. Great job(s) S.A.. There is hope in companies that foster growth. But those that can't compete, well... Dust off those resumes San Antonio.

Geez...if only we had invested in better Libraries instead of the Alamo Dome or AT&T Center then more San Antonians could qualify for jobs instead of bringing in people from the outside.
