SAN ANTONIO -- The 6th Annual Luminaria is taking place Saturday, March 9th.

The event celebrates art and artists from San Antonio to Spain. Artists will use Downtown as their canvas. The event is free and showcases different types of art forms.

Luminaria will take place, rain or shine. However, in the event of rain, music and art installations will be moved inside the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the indoor venues in HemisFair Park will also be open.

Bus service available for Luminaria

People attending Luminaria on Saturday, March 9th can ride VIA Primo or VIA's mainline bus service.

VIA Primo circulates through the Downtown area on Commerce Street and Market Street, and the service passes by several parking lots and garages. Attendees can park their cars downtown and ride Primo to the Hemisfair Park area.

Several mainline bus routes also go by Hemisfair Park.

The fare for each trip (on Primo and on mainline service) is $1.20 with a discount fare of 60 cents available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students.
