LEICESTER, ENGLAND -- An incredible discovery has been made in England after scientists confirm the human remains found under a parking lot are that of King Richard III. He died in battle in 1485, but no one knew where he was buried.
Archaeologists had been searching the area last year for a former religious house, but found the skeletal remains when they began digging. They made the link using the DNA of relative, Michael Ibsen. He's a cabinet maker in Canada, who is also a direct descendent to the king's sister, Anne of York. Scientists said the skull they found also had injuries consistent to battle wounds and the skeleton had a curved spine from scoliosis, consistent with reports that the king had a hunched figure.
A memorial service will be held to bury the king's remains at Leicester Cathedral.
