SAN ANTONIO - Back in June, State Sen. Carlos Uresti married Margaret Lleanna Elizondo. The wedding dance has become an
instant YouTube classic!Uresti, an attorney who has served in the Texas Legislature as a House member and senator for 15 years, and Mrs. Uresti were married in a ceremony conducted by U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia. Some 350 guests attended the wedding at the Kendall Plantation, east of Boerne.
Lleanna Uresti is a student counselor at Burke Elementary School in the Northside Independent School District and a realtor. She has two children, Sebastian and Katalina.
Uresti has two sons, Michael and Carlos Jr.; and two grandsons, Benjamin and Evan.
"Our wedding was about much more than the union of two people. It marked the creation of a new family and the start of a new journey through life," Uresti said. "We are both very happy and looking forward to a long life together."
The couple spent their honeymoon on a cruise in Greece, Italy, and Monte Carlo.
